With a preface in German and English. Piano reduction by Andreas Köhs. Handel's setting of Psalm 109 is in nine movements, and is scored for soloists, chorus and strings. This large-scale work may have been composed in 1707, but little is known about the genesis of or reason for composition. The music was not published until 1872. This edition is the urtext of Series III, Volume 1 of the Hallische Handel Ausgabe. Duration ca. 40 minutes.
