Goetz completed this concerto in 1867, and it was premiered the same year. The work was championed by Brahms and the pianist Ernst Frank, but the piece faded from the repertoire after Goetz's early death. This is a reprint of the original Kistner & Siegel edition on 1879. With a new preface.
