This is the seventh of eight volumes devoted to Marcello's large collection of sacred music, which was also originally published in eight volumes. This volume contains eight works for choir and continuo, on psalm paraphrases by the Venetian poet Girolamo Ascanio Giustiniani. This edition is based on the first print of the seventh volume, published by Domenico Lovisa in 1726.
