In one movement. Commissioned by the Japan Society. Premiered in New York, October 2008 by Takeshi Sasamoto and Adam Sliwinski. A ryuteki is a kind of Japanese flute. The percussion part calls for tam-tam, marimba, and bass drum. The optional stone choir bangs stones against each other around the concert hall.
