In one movement. With program and biographical notes. Written for IRCAM Manifest's Conducted Ensemble Workshop with Ensemble Intercontemporain. Premiered in Paris, June 2015. Scored for flute (alto flute, piccolo), clarinet (bass clarinet), trombone, percussion, prepared piano, violin, cello, and double bass. The title is taken from the play Arcadia, by Tom Stoppard.
