In one movement. Commissioned for Low and Lower by the Winston-Salem Symphony, the Boise Philharmonic, the Portland Symphony and the Queens Philharmonic. Premiered in October 2014 by Low and Lower and the Winston-Salem Symphony. The title means a descent into darkness in a search for meaning. Duration ca. 13 minutes. This is a reduction for cello, bass and piano.
