This edition presents the only surviving music of Marcello, a Venetian singer who married the composer Benedetto Marcello in 1728. These are secular cantatas on themes of love. A preface includes notes on the composer, poetry, music, performance, and the manuscript. Includes non-singing English translations of the texts. A separate volume, CN70c, contains a cello part.
