In one movement. With program and performance notes in German and English. Premiered by Elena Vassilieva, the Hilliard Ensemble and the Dresdner Philharmonie in Dresden, June 2007. Raskatov was commissioned to complete Schnittke's Ninth Symphony, and he later composed this work as an epilogue. The music sets texts by Joseph Brodsky and Starets Siluan. The texts are in Russian and in transliteration. Duration ca. 16 minutes.
