Bartok composed cadenzas to the 1st and 3rd movements for performances in 1939 and 1940 by himself and his wife Ditta; it is likely that Bartok did not know of the 1937 publication of Mozart's own cadenzas. This edition includes a facsimile of the manuscript as well as a first publication of the cadenzas.
