Dedicated to Paula Robison, who premiered the work with Timothy Hester in Boston, April 2001. The music is comprised of free settings of songs such as The Golden Willow Tree, Jacob's Ladder, and Wondrous Love. In most spots, the piano part is more difficult and showy than the flute part.
